We are excited to welcome patrons back to Amway Center! Recently awarded the Global Biorisk Advisory Council STAR™ Facility Accreditation, the health and safety of our guests and employees is at the forefront of everything we do. Employees and patrons will be following guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as local officials, the NBA and experts from AdventHealth. Please read the following carefully before attending.

 

 

Be a Team Player

 

We’re all in this together so we ask you to follow the below guidelines when attending events at Amway Center, including Orlando Magic and Orlando Solar Bears games.

 

Leave Your Bags at Home

  • To reduce contamination, bags will not be permitted at Amway Center events.
  • Small medical and parenting bags are permitted, but will be subject to security screening at designated entry locations.

Wear Your Face Covering, It’s Required!

  • Face coverings must be worn by all fans over the age of two at all times and fully cover the nose and mouth.
  • Eating and drinking is allowed in your seating pod or at a physically-distanced location on the concourse. Eating and drinking is prohibited while walking from the concession stand to your seat.
  • Face coverings must have at least two layers of material.
  • Bandanas, gaiters, costume masks, face coverings with vents and face coverings with only a single layer of fabric are not permitted.
  • Face shields may not be worn in place of a face mask, though may be worn in addition to a face mask.

Practice Physical Distancing

  • Tickets will be sold in groupings called pods consisting of two, four, or six seats, so that you may sit with members of the party that came with you.
  • Seating pods will be spaced out a minimum of six feet apart.
  • Remain six feet apart from other parties while in lines at entry, concessions and restrooms.

Wash Your Hands Often

  • Hand sanitizer will be widely available throughout the Amway Center.
  • Use soap and water and wash thoroughly and frequently.

Stay Home if You’re Feeling Sick

  • If you are feeling sick, we ask that you consider others and please stay home.
  • Health and safety screening may be required upon entry.

What To Expect

Alternatives to Concession Lines

  • No need to wait in line! Order food and drink through the Amway Center app.
  • Plexiglass barriers in key locations.
  • Food and drink updated policies include individually wrapped food and utensils.
  • Please note: Face coverings are required. Eating and drinking is prohibited while walking from the concession stand to your seat. Eating and drinking is allowed in your seating pod or when stationary at a physically-distanced location on the concourse.

Cashless Transactions for Food & Merchandise

  • Pay with debit or credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay or the Amway Center mobile app.

Digital Ticketing

  • No-touch scanning of your ticket is available on your phone.

Hand Sanitizer

  • Available throughout Amway Center .

Heightened Cleaning Procedures

  • High-touch surfaces (i.e. door handles, elevator buttons, escalator railing) 
  • Restrooms
  • Eating tables 
  • Seating bowl

Staff Protocols

  • Staff will wear face coverings.
  • Staff will be temperature checked and required to use hand sanitizer upon reporting to work.

Upgraded Technology

  • All air handling units (AHU) that supply the bowl, all dehumidification air units (DAU) and all primary units within the arena have been modified with UV lighting for the inactivation of bacterial organisms.
  • UV lighting has been added in the mechanical pits underneath the arena's 12 escalators so handrails are exposed twice during each full rotation.
  • Upgraded to Merv 13A air filters in compliance with NBA guidelines.
  • Electrostatic sprayers are being utilized to disinfect rooms and surfaces within the arena.
  • Portable PlexiGuard barriers will be positioned in key locations throughout the arena.
  • Improved the air changes per hour (ACPH) rate to an average of 6.7, boosting clean air circulation.

Assumption of Risk

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the CDC, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

Any interaction in any public place poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID-19. We cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit. By entering Amway Center, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I purchase food if I only have cash?

For the safety of our fans and employees, Amway Center will no longer accept cash as a method of payment, including at concession, box office and retail locations.

What type of face coverings are acceptable?

  1. All fans over the age of 2 must wear a face covering at all times from point of entry to moment of exiting, except when actively eating or drinking.
  2. Bandanas, gaiters, face coverings with vents and face coverings with only a single layer of fabric are not acceptable.
  3. Face coverings must have at least two layers of material.
