The truly legendary Amway Center wrapped a 12-day stretch of non-stop, top-notch events

ORLANDO, FLORIDA [February 25, 2015] – And after the 12th day, the Truly Legendary Amway Center hosted a 12-day stretch of non-stop, top-notch events, attracted over 102,000 patrons and generated over $1.9 million in total concession sales from February 11 to February 22. The Orlando Magic kicked off the run with a game against the New York Knicks (Feb 11) and hosted two additional games including the New Orleans Pelicans (Feb 20) and Philadelphia 76ers (Feb 22), winning all three games. The Orlando Solar Bears kept the busy streak of events alive with five games including matchups against the Kalamazoo Wings (Feb 12), Fort Wayne Komets (Feb 13 & 14) and South Carolina Stingrays (Feb 17 & 18). Additionally, Juan Gabriel, one of Latin Music's best-selling artists performed in support of his Gira Volver Tour on February 15. The following night, WWE hosted their Monday Night Raw live show on February 16 and set a new building record earning the highest attendance and highest-grossing WWE event. Country music's current King of Country, Luke Bryan, performed two sold out shows (Feb 19 & 21).

In March, the Amway Center further bolsters its Truly Legendary status by hosting two of music's legendary acts, Elton John on March 7 and Fleetwood Mac on March 23. On March 26, Ariana Grande, one of pop music's hottest artists performs with special guests Cashmere Cat and Rixton. Also, after a one-year absence, the Arena Football League's Orlando Predators’ return to the arena and kick off their season home opener on March 29. 

Spring is shaping up to be a very busy time for the Amway Center as Parrottheads will bask in Jimmy Buffett's trademark laid back concert atmosphere on April 16. Superstar comedian, Kevin Hart, earns the hot ticket status, as his April 24 show quickly sold out in only a few hours. The boys are back with their summer headlining tour, The Main Event. On June 5, New Kids On The Block with very special guests, Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum-selling artists TLC and Nelly.


The Orlando Magic served as the developer of the Amway Center, which hosts major national events, concerts and family shows.  Opened in the fall of 2010, the facility is owned and operated by the City of Orlando on behalf of the Central Florida community. The Amway Center was designed to reflect the character of the community, meet the goals of the users and build on the legacy of sports and entertainment in Orlando.
